1. List three things you have liked in the presentations given.
a-The presenters were the students.
b-These presentations make learning the information much easier than looking it up on our own.
c-The presentations made it more exciting to learn the information rather than having to read the textbook.
2. Why?
a- The students know what the other students will find interesting and what will bore them a little more than the teachers do, so they are able to make the presentation short but informative without too many fillers. It also gives the students a chance to speak in front of the class.
b- Doing research on our own time is boring and tedious, so having other students weed out all of the bad sources and give us all of the reliable information was a great way to learn the information quickly.
c- I am a person that has to read things multiple times in order to understand the information especially from a textbook, so having the information presented to me is a lot easier for me to obtain the information.
3. List three things that future presenters should NOT do.
a- Do NOT read off of the slides of your PowerPoint.
b- Do NOT do distracting movements when presenting.
c- Do NOT say a lot of the word "um."
4. Why?
a- Reading directly off of the slides is boring for both the presenter and the audience, nobody enjoys it.
b- If you move around a lot during the presentation, the audience will be focused on watching you and not listening to your presentation.
c- Again, saying the word "um" too much can be very distracting and make it hard for the audience to focus on the topic you are presenting.
